PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Working as Database Developer, was involved with the development and Maintenance of CIRAS. This is primarily Oracle-Forms based application which provides an interface to an Oracle database which tracks circuit information for Sprint s Local Telephone companies. The main functions of the application include tracking both the processing of orders and the engineering/provisioning of the circuits. The system is developed on Oracle 8i under IBM AIX environment.

Environment: ORACLE 8.X, FORMS 6i, Reports 6i, IBM AIX 4.3.3, PL / SQL, PVCS, SQL*LOADER, TEST DIRECTORY 7.2

Developed Internal Revenue Information System IRIS client/server tax application for a large city government. Worked on requirements gathering, high-level design, detail design, construction, unit and system testing phases for development of a payment plan component. This application was developed to offer a payment plan for taxpayers. Developed Amortization Schedule report to print latest balance due using Report 6.0. Developed MS Word notifications using Oracle Form OLE procedure to print notifications based on payment received from taxpayer. Developed calculation intensive PL/SQL modules to allocate payment to different taxcodes according to predefined allocation percentage. Constructed individual modules using Oracle Forms 6.0, Report 6.0 and PL/SQL 8.0. Implemented menu security to provide data driven access to users with different roles.

For a major insurance company, worked in accordance with the SCR system System Change Request for Annuity system. Supported customer annuity tracking application for changing business rules. This application helped in expediting annuity reporting. Prepared stored procedures, packages, functions and database triggers. Prepared reports through SQL Oracle 8.0 in Magic Language.

Involved with a project to develop and cater to the needs of a Varment Export Company. The software was intended to integrate various components including sampling, merchandising, purchasing, documentation, shipping, finance and inventory. Worked on requirements gathering, high-level design, detail design, construction, unit and system testing phases for development of the Garment Export System. The major functionality of the system is Sales Order, Sample approvals from clients, purchase order, production, sales and purchase of garment quota, documentation and shipping, Letter of credit. Responsibilities included analysis and design of the project, which consisted of 210 tables. Prepared ER diagrams in Designer 2000 1.5 , and coded new Forms for developing the merchandising and Inventory components. Prepared stored procedures, packages, functions and database triggers, and also performed unit testing and system integration.

Analyzed, designed, and coded a system for Foreign Exchange Currency to automate sales and purchase of foreign currency. Developed forms for data entry of purchases, and reports to keep track of inventory. This sytstem helped in cutting cost by autmating major tasks. Also, developed analytical reports to study trends and forecasting. Prepared stored procedures, packages, functions and database triggers and also performed unit testing.

Involved with the development of form, reports for manufacturing and sales system. This system automated sales and inventory functions. Developed sytstem from scratch after analyzing client requirements. Devlopment of this sytem resulted in elimination of manual traking of inventory and sales data. Prepared stored procedures, packages, functions and database triggers to implement required functionality.
