WORK EXPERIENCE

Currently working as IT Lead Analyst for designing custom interfaces from the client s legacy system to the Oracle Modules AP, AR, GL, CM and INV . Participated with company management and end users in defining and planning the systems requirements. Did feasibility study, gathered current system flows, designed the interface requirements and estimated the inventory of effort regarding the interface delivery. Helping the user community design strategies for loading data and overcoming gaps by designing interfaces.

Custom Order Picking System was developed, with the lots of help from the user community. This system consists of an Oracle Application Form, two PL/SQL procedures and two reports. Imported the Shipped Orders data from Optum to create the transaction in Accounts Receivable using the AR API. Customized invoice report, which was printed from the Auto-invoicing process. Developed a process to load data from Purchasing sub ledger to the General ledger. Was involved in development of Web Procure-To-Pay key component using iProcurement. Designed & developed web inquiry application in Self-Service Purchasing for suppliers to view their On-hand inventory on line. Customised Workflow Process to generate notification for PO Approval, Order Shipped and Invoice Printed.

Worked as IT Lead Analyst for all the Oracle Applications Modules. This project involved customisations and extensions to Oracle Applications 11.0 using Forms 4.5 and Reports 2.5. Modules include General Ledger, Account Payables, Oracle Order Entry, Project Accounting, Oracle Purchasing and Oracle Receivables. Worked as a member of a team that developed the custom Photopens Projects module as an extension to Oracle Accounts Payable and Receivables module. Was responsible for the design and development of all the Photopens Reports. Led the users through Requirements definition, map/gap analysis and solution design. Designed and developed custom General Ledger reports. Contributed to the overall design of Photopens projects module that included designing the Stored Procedures, Database Triggers and Interfaces required for integrating/interfacing the custom Photopens module with other Oracle modules such as Purchasing, Accounts Payable and General Ledger. Created Quick Codes and Value Sets using Oracle Applications Set Up screens. Registered new Forms, Reports and Concurrent Programs using Oracle Applications Set-Up screens. Created a SQL loader script for importing cleared Checks flat file data provided by the Bank into a temporary table. Created a stored procedure to validate the imported data and moved them to the interface. Also created SQL Loader scripts for importing the Lockbox flat file data provided by the bank into the interface table, which were notified to the client using alerts with action through email.

Was responsible for the the Vendor conversions from legacy data to Oracle AP. Customized existing Oracle reports to provide customized versions of Check Payment Files, Check Remittance Files and EFT Payment Files. Wrote many Oracle Alerts to help manage data files and to notify users of automated tasks that have taken place. Customized several AR and GL reports according to the user specification specifications.

Developed interfaces for Oracle Purchasing and Receiving like ASN Receipt Form/Barcode Traveller, Purchase Price Customisations and Automating Supplier Scheduling Sourcing Rules.

For Oracle EDI Gateway Customised EDI DELFOR to include additional information on the shipping details. Agreement with an international supplier required that their DELFORs have additional information. EDI Extensive Architecture was used to attain this functionality.

Developed a custom Supplier Scheduling bolt on that would help schedule supplier delivery on particular day of the week. The current Oracle Supplier Scheduling functionality was not capable of scheduling supplier deliveries on particular day of the week. This bolt on had a form, which stored Supplier, Supplier Site and Days of Delivery for an organisation. This information was used to alter the schedules that were created by MRP before releases are created.

Designed and developed interfaces for a customized Sales Compensation System. This system calculated the commission remuneration to the marketing personnel depending on the type of orders brought to the organization by them, eventually these data were used by HR department. Customized an existing Oracle report to provide a customized ACH Payment File. Customized several AP reports according to the user specifications. Created many new reports to support the Metrix Application.

Designed and developed interface called Equivalent Pieces which, calculated the resources used in manufacture of parts by all the departments into a custom table and used this data to in the budget calculation for the future periods. Also created a custom report to print this data on departmental basis.

Designed and developed interfaces, which take a snapshot of the inventory held by different organisations for monthly inventory reports used by the finance department and transfer demands of Child Organisation to Parent Organisation so that viability of the Child Organisation component demand be maintained within the Parent organisation. These interfaces belonged to Oracle Inventory INV .

Designed the process called Paper Traveller wherein Log Reports could be created on a users default printer, whenever the user created an inventory transaction, by using Oracle Alerts for calling the report from a temporary table, which was populated whenever there was an entry in the MTL_Transactions table. The Reports used tables from Oracle Work In Process WIP .

Was responsible for mapping existing COBOL data-set in IMS system to Oracle RDBMS.

Also is responsible for mentoring two permanent employees belonging to Systems Department in Fuel Systems Plant, by solving their day to day problems and helping them understand standards for development in Oracle Applications.

Migrated Fixed Assets data from the legacy system to Oracle Fixed Assets. Customized Account generator process for Fixed Assets. Written stored procedures to derive segment values from descriptive flexfields in the account generator process. Developed custom reports and customized oracle GL reports.

Also developed FSG reports for GL Account Summary and other financial reports using Oracle Reports.

Designed and developed a module called RECEIVING INSPECTION. The purpose of this project was to create a receiving audit scheduling, notification and tracking system to resolve a quality functional gap identified in Oracle Applications purchasing and quality modules. The objective of this project was to create this system to be integrated with Oracle Applications.

Was responsible for Analysis, Design, & Development of forms for inspection set-up, inspection results input, test type master and viewing item inspection status. Also helped in creating the User Documentation and System Documentation.

Mostly used the tables belonging to Oracle Inventory and Oracle Purchasing.

Was also responsible for mentoring a permanent employee and two contractors working at Jamestown Engine Plant.

Financial Accounting System

Lead a team of eight, which worked, on a project for a Trading Company based in India and having operations all over Asia. Was responsible for Analysis, Design and Development of this system using DESIGNER-2000, & DEVELOPER-2000 and other related tools on ORACLE database. Was also involved in implementation of ORACLE FINANCIALS 10.07SC, which replaced the old accounting system in a phased manner.

Worked on AP, PO, OE and GL modules of Oracle Financials 10SC. Generated reports using Oracle Reports 2.5 and SQL*Plus. Also was involved in the conversion of old SQL*Forms 3.0 application to Oracle Forms 4.5 GUI environment with referring to Oracle Financials database.

Remuneration System

Undertook System study, Design and Development of Remuneration system for the Field Staff of an Insurance Company based in Ireland. This system was specified using ERWIN, FORMS 4.5, REPORT 2.5 and with ORACLE Database as Back End.

Has lead a team of nine and was involved in the development of Logistics Module of an ERP package for a software company based in Germany. This module catered to the current needs of European market and had features like Multilingual, Multiple currency trading, and conversion of Units of Measurements according to the needs of the user and standards prevalent in the country. This system was developed on UNIFACE v6.0 with INFORMIX v6.0 Database.

Personnel & Human Resource Management System

Was also involved in Analysis, Design and Development of this system for Civil Aviation Authority of Bahrain, using ORACLE 7.1 and Developer 2000. Was the Project Leader for a team of 20 programmers.

Attendance Recording System

This was a conversion project. Was involved with System Design, Development and Training. The Project required converting the existing Attendance Recording System from Clipper dBASE platform to INFORMIX v4.0 platform using INFORMIX FORMS, INFORMIX FORMS MENU and LIBRARIES. Also responsible for the development of generalized subroutines used by various modules in the System. Used STORED PROCEDURES built in ESQLC for performance enhancement.

Human Resource and Development System

This system helped to store personal information of the employees as well as other details like promotions, increments, enhancement courses, experiences and other details for generating various MIS reports. This system was developed using INFORMIX FORMS, INFORMIX FORMS MENU and LIBRARIES on INFORMIX v4.0 database.

Piece Rate Calculation System.

This system captured the number of hours an employee has worked on a particular job for a product on various machines of the factory through data recording equipment attached to these machines. It was developed using INFORMIX FORMS, INFORMIX FORMS MENU and LIBRARIES on INFORMIX v4.0 database. Was involved in Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation of the system.
