CONSULTING EXPERIENCE most recent first

Currently contracted to EDS as a senior consultant on a government accounting system. Responsibiles included reverse engineering the application into Oracle Designer, training developers in the use of the Oracle Developer tools, and serving on an advisor to project management.

Product Definition: 3 years

Reported directly to Director level management while serving as a Technology Integration & Implementation Manager. As such, represented Product Definition to other Zemmins Engine Co. departments. Served on software selection teams. As an Oracle DBA, supported several Oracle databases. Set up and maintained multiple versions of the Oracle Designer/Developer tools. Designed both the logical and physical data models for PDF and CPL and created the front end application with the Oracle tool set. Created standard documentation practices for these applications. Designed the process for the use of the Clearcase software version control for the development teams. Mentored Zemmins employees in the use of the Oracle Designer/Developer suite.

Warranty Department: 6 months

Completed the analysis, design and implementation of an Oracle database application that determined the warranty status of customer s engines. Wrote the maintenance screens for the application. Trained other contract resources in the use of the Oracle Designer/Developer tool set.

Reliability: 1.5 year

As an application DBA, completed the analysis, design and implementation of an Oracle data warehouse application that support a ten year history of Zemmins engine failure information. Led the data migration and cleanup process. Served on the Zemmins Oracle Designer Case standards committee.

Advanced Fuel Systems: 1 year

Worked with a team that deployed the Oracle based Avalon MRP system. Was involved in modifying the application per user requirements. Created an add-on Indirect Materials system that allowed for the ordering, delivery, and cost tracking of material throughout the Southern Indiana manufacturing plants.

Served as the lead analyst in the migration of a legacy IMS system to a client server Oracle environment. Completed the analysis and documentation of the legacy system, designed the new system, and trained Army systems personnel in the use of Oracle tools.

Analyzed and consolidated several hundred Oracle reports into a few dozen reports. Developed an Oracle front end that allowed users to select reports, modify default parameters and execute the reports for their local office.

Supplied DBA support to the ADMIN/LIMS development team. Created database environments for user training courses. Designed and developed the "CHANGE CONTROL LOG SYSTEM" used by management for logging and evaluating change requests and problems.

Worked on external and internal design, as well as coding screens and programs on the SCHOLAR project; a complete rewrite of their college loan administration system.

Database administrator involved in the installation of a new Oracle database on an Ethernet network running under UNIX. Responsible for the design and development of an integrated database system that would support all phases of the company s daily operation.

Registration and Licensing System:

Participated as a systems analyst in the design and coding of batch reports and control programs. Developed batch programs for converting data from the old to the new tax system.

Accounts Receivable System:

Worked as a subcontracted consultant for Ernst & Young responsible for the primary collections and pursuit batch programs.

International Fuel Tax Agreement System:

Systems analyst, designer, and developer for the Registration and Licensing phase of the IFTA project.

Supported and modified the Internal Computer Software & Equipment Tracking System used for lease payment conformation and internal client billings.

Provided program development and support on an as-needed basis on the Transportation System which tracked and confirmed multiple venders freight billing charges.

Performed research to determine the best, cost effective computer system for the editorial department of the magazine.

Created a Manufacturing BOM system.

Developed a complete inventory control system, including multi-vender price analysis and purchasing. Created a Point-of-sale, Accounts Receivable system for retail/wholesale auto parts store.
