• Converge: performed complete analysis of test documents on SAP-based B to B system incorporating a translation hub and several third-party apps into a single system.
• SpinCircuit: performed system test analysis and mentored a test group in testing large supply-chain parts-tracking system with complex Oracle back-end database.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Hired, organized and managed team of six SQA engineers to system-test Itron s Genesis Fixed Network, an automatic utility-meter reading system involving proprietary data collection equipment, RF and network communications using DNP, UDP and other protocols, a real-time -relational database engine, and an Oracle database server running on Unix.
• Introduced industry standard software test strategies and methodologies. Created system test processes and procedures appropriate to the maturity level of the organization.
• Designed test planning, specification and results documents and mentored staff in the use of these documents. Worked with Development and Deployment staff to improve written and oral communications between system test and these groups.
• Supervised testing efforts for five releases of the software. Analyzed scope of system testing and organized it into structured testing areas. Devised new scheduling strategy to realistically track system test efforts and tracked weekly progress of testing for management using Microsoft Project.
• Wrote system test plans and technical test plans and SQL scripts for areas of the software. Set up and performed system tests.

• Managed software testing effort for Diasonics ultrasound -machine, a real-time, embedded systems medical device running on Unix. Supervised four test engineers/applications specialists.
• Wrote clear, FDA-approved test and release documentation and specifications for several versions of the ultrasound software.
• Streamlined Informix bug-tracking system and worked with Regulatory Department on extensive improvements to the overall -test process.

• Managed Forms and Reports testing for Paradox for Windows 1.0. Supervised 4-11 test engineers, including hiring, mentoring and staff evaluations. Effectively performed as a working manager while fulfilling test responsibilities and achieving a high bug-find rate.
• Coordinated beta tests of Paradox for Windows 5.0 and devised improvements to the beta test process. Helped developers improve and focus product functionality.
• Managed localization testing and set up effective file control systems for all products.
• Planned and tested numerous product areas of Paradox for Windows, including Forms and Reports data modeling, and other functionality in several relational database file formats. Performed integration testing of spreadsheets, word processors, TSRs and other business products.
