I completed my MS in Information Systems from a reputed US University and had been looking for a job for the last 7 months. I tried some consultancy agencies who offered training and placement assistance, but nothing worked out well and I was very disappointed. Then one of my friends recommended Portnov School. After talking with Mikhail, I decided to join the SQA Express Training program. This was one of the best decisions that I have made in my life.

I would really like to thank Mikhail who is excellent with years of experience in SQA. Radhika is very professional, not only as a good instructor but also as a good mentor. She encouraged me all the time and made me more confident. I really appreciate the help that Sofia gave me in regards to helping me change my career. Sofia is very very supportive to students in the school and helps everyone to succeed in their job search.

Upon completion of this excellent training, Mikhail helped me in preparing my resume and Sofia forwarded it to various companies. I had three Interview calls and I got QA Internship offers from two of them.

Classes were interesting and the well- planned presentations certainly held my interest. Instructors were highly qualified, encouraging, and able to provide examples from their own real world experience about software testing. Also, it is very helpful that the class materials are accessible online any time, even after completion of the course.

In summary, Portnov Computer School is a great place to be for QA testing professionals. They not only helped me to be a well equipped QA software tester with well structured classes, but also coached me to stand confidently and present myself as a qualified QA Tester. They prepared me in every step, from resume writing, to mock interview, and gave me feedback on job performance.

I also owe to share with you some info, which I would ask to FWD to Misha. All my 3 kids are in the university, studying for Computer Science. The oldest one (Tanya) already completing university this year and plans to go to Magistratura. She works for 3+yrs in QA industry and now she is a QA Team Lead on one of the most critical projects in the company (for Hyperion customer). The second one (Karolina) just started her new job as QA engineer too and doing well so far and is very happy about it. The third one (son Sasha) is a 1st grader of the same university and same specialty. All of them and we, the parents, have very clear vision of their future career – QA and software development industry (as much as God will bless us with that). No one thinks about anything else. So, the point is that all this is only because of … Portnov Computer School! Its role and affect (means – role of Misha and all of you there) is way beyond of my personal life and huge success, but it affected and even completely changed the life of the each family member. We recently were talking about this in our family and everybody asked me to send you these words of appreciation. Your work there is not just a making of money for living, but you really do change people’s life! I am one of the folks who graduated from the Portnov School back in 1996. These were not the easiest times to find jobs in the IT field, and I was no where near my twenties. However with the invaluable job-related skills I acquired through Portnov School and through the school’s job placement program, I was able to relatively quickly find a job in the Bay Area.

I have heard about this school from my friends when I was living in San Diego. The school’s reputation motivated me to enroll in the program despite its distant location away from my family. Looking back, I believe that was one of the smartest choices I’ve made. Misha Portnov, the school, and its staff became my second family. They provided me with knowledge, support, encouragement, and 24 hours a day unlimited access to their computer lab equipment.

Since those days I consistently maintain contact with the school.
