I have recently got employed as a Senior QA Engineer and started working a few days ago. So I am most sincerely grateful to NOVA for the opportunity it provided me. I would also like to thank NOVA for the school reference, for I consider Portnov Computer School extremely effective and helpful. I can only hope that NOVA/Portnov School tandem will stay on and will help more people to restore or start new successful careers. The majority of students I studied with at Portnov's have already obtained employment, which confirms school's very practical and flexible approach to training students in terms of both computer and interview skills.

Dear Sofia and all nice ladies in the school,

even if you might get far away from such type of holidays I still want to say all of you the words of congratulations or the most and very ‘your’ day of the year! You all are the best and we all love you very much, much more than you may think of. I wish you a lot of success in your work and career, and huge happiness in your personal and family life. С женским днем 8 марта!!!!!!!!

I also owe to share with you some info, which I would ask to FWD to Misha. All my 3 kids are in the university, studying for Computer Science. The oldest one (Tanya) already completing university this year and plans to go to Magistratura. She works for 3+yrs in QA industry and now she is a QA Team Lead on one of the most critical projects in the company (for Hyperion customer). The second one (Karolina) just started her new job as QA engineer too and doing well so far and is very happy about it. The third one (son Sasha) is a 1st grader of the same university and same specialty. All of them and we, the parents, have very clear vision of their future career – QA and software development industry (as much as God will bless us with that). No one thinks about anything else. So, the point is that all this is only because of … Portnov Computer School! It’s role and affect (means – role of Misha and all & each of you there) is way beyond of my personal life and huge success, but it affected and even completely changed the life of the each family member. We recently were talking about this in our family and everybody asked me to send you these words of appreciation. Your work there is not just a making of money for living, but you really do change people’s life! So, over & over, pleas accept our true words of appreciation for your work in our lives and I hope this will be another point of motivating you in your hard work. (I think you should put such info somewhere on your site or on the wall to let others know that.

Hi Mikhail and Sofia,

I want to thank you both for always being there for me and helping me find a suitable source of employment. You are both like my pillars of strength and continued source of help in my search for a job as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.

As you know I will be starting work on the 25th June at Wells Fargo in SF, CA as a contract Manual Test Engineer. I look forward to your guidance and help in the process of bettering my skills as a QA. I am very excited about the fact that I am now entering the real QA market and look forward to the varied exposure I will be getting through working at various projects at Wells Fargo Bank.

I hope to get a full time position in Wells Fargo to realize all my dreams and those of my near and dear ones. Once again thanks for everything.

Jason

I am really happy for my new job. Be able to work with professionals and learn from them. There is a lot of new projects going on in this company. So far we are doing manual testing which is very important for me to understand the entire process. My manager is also very nice and wants us to learn as much as possible. Thanks to Portnov Computer School, I could have such a good opportunity to work for this great company!

Hi Mike and Sofia, I got the Adobe offer and signed and gave it to them today. For this job I may have to use JUnit. I have to brush-up JUnit. The classes I attended are very helpful. Thanks a lot for your help.

I am one of the folks who graduated from the Portnov School back in 1996. These were not the easiest times to find jobs in the IT field, and I was no where near my twenties. However with the invaluable job-related skills I acquired through Portnov school and through the school’s job placement program, I was able to relatively quickly find a job in the Bay Area.

I have heard about this school from my friends when I was living in San Diego. The school’s reputation motivated me to enroll in the program despite its distant location away from my family. Looking back, I believe that was one of the smartest choices I’ve made. Misha Portnov, the school, and its staff became my second family. They provided me with knowledge, support, encouragement, and 24 hours a day unlimited access to their computer lab equipment.

Since those days I consistently maintain contact with the school. On several occasions I have turned to Misha Portnov for advice in making a challenging career decision, and every single time he has been there to help me. Now once more I am at the cross roads in my life on my way to visit the Portnov School and Misha and I know he will not refuse to help.
